Truth Seeker: Are You Plugged In?
To Connect: My definition would be to join something together with another thing, in order for it to function properly. To do it's job or in order to perform a task.
What does the word connect or connection mean to you?

Think of something in your house that you need to connect to something, in order for it to work properly. For me, I will use the lamp on my bedside table as an example. Usually I love to read and journal in my bedroom at night, and I need that lamp to be on so that I can do those things. The lamp works great, because of the cord that connects to the wall outlet, which provides an energy source. But lets say I didn't plug the cord in... would it still work? Negative. I can't leave it unplugged or plug it into anything else to make it work properly. We know this.
Let's say that the wall outlet already has other cords plugged in (got to have the baby monitor plugged in, the hairdryer that is supposed to be in the bathroom, the cell phone charger, the laptop charger). Good grief... that's a lot of things - seems there is no room for the lamp to be plugged in, but I need the lamp so I can stay up until midnight reading The Handmaid's Tale. What should I do?
You're right. I should unplug whatever is not serving me at the current moment. I need to unplug to receive energy, and to allow my lamp to shine brightly.
Sometimes in our lives, we may feel like our light is just not shining brightly, or hell it may not even turn on. We aren't working properly like we should. We aren't shining like we were made to do. We are in total darkness, but we know that's not how we should be. Eventually we see that our own "cord" isn't plugged in. In fact, we may have been trying to plug into the energy source, but we have too many other things (like the hairdryer that doesn't belong there) that are taking up our outlet space. Our space that gives us energy, light, and helps us fulfill our purpose.
It's time to start unplugging from those things that aren't serving you, so that you can reconnect.

"Find a way to disconnect from the daily distractions,
in order to reconnect with what you value the most."
